Clannasaor (pronounced Clan-na-soor) is a grassroots association of Scottish patriots. Many of us are former SNP members, who watched in horror as that party gave up the struggle for meaningful independence and became a vehicle to advance the careers of its leadership. Unlike the sellout SNP, comfortable in their role as Her Majesty's Well Paid Opposition, Clannasaor uncompromisingly puts Scottish freedom first. Unlike the sellout SNP, Clannasaor is not run by careerist politicians and wannabees. Clannasaor is run by real grassroots patriots from all walks of life, across the nation. Unlike the sellout SNP, Clannasaor seeks real independence for Scotland - not foreign domination as a province of the emerging Eurostate. There is no reason why Scotland shouldn't be free. Historically, our nation has thrived under independence and shrivelled under Union. In today's world, smaller independent nations like Switzerland, Norway, and Singapore are freer, happier, and more prosperous than their larger neighbours. Independence is not about isolation or seperatism. Independence is about Scotland being governed by and for her own people. Independence is about being a normal nation, not a pawn of London or Brussels. Clannasaor's vision for Scotland includes "Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship with all Nations, Entangling Alliances with none". And while regaining independence is the vital first step, freedom for Scotland is about more than just political independence. It is also about freedom from an increasingly overbearing and out-of-touch government. It is about freedom for hardworking Scots familes from skyrocketing taxes. It is about freedom to establish a sensible immigration policy. On these issues and more, only Clannasaor stands for the common sense of the Scottish people.
