Clannasaor - The Scottish People's Party FAQ
Q) What is Clannasaor's position on "Direct Action"?
A) Clannasaor absolutely rejects violence of any kind.
The struggle for independence will be won at the ballot box or not
at all. Clannasaor's party constitution states that any member who
advocates violence will be kicked out.
Q) What is Clannasaor's position on racism and xenophobia?
A) Clannasaor is opposed to racial hatred and xenophobia
in every shape and form. We welcome the contributions made to Scottish
life by incomers from around the world. However, some people are
now attempting to smear anyone who argues for immigration reform
as "racist". Clannasaor is appalled by such tactics. We
advocate a more restrictive immigration policy in order to ensure
that only the highest quality immigrants qualify to settle in Scotland
- this is a policy which will benefit all of Scotland's racial
and ethnic groups.
Q) What is Clannasaor's position on the Scottish Diaspora?
A) Clannasaor is bringing together a global community
of Scots in order to help our nation regain her independence. We
actively encourage people of Scottish descent from around the world
to take an interest in our culture and heritage.
Q) Isn't Clannasaor just going to split the SNP vote?
A) The SNP have long ago given up the struggle for
any kind of meaningful independence for Scotland. All one hears
from the SNP these days is the sound of knives being sharpened as
the careerists who have taken over that party squabble over well-paid
jobs in the Scottish Parliament. We can no longer stand idly by
while this happens, which is why Clannasaor exists as a true independence
party for the Scottish people.
Q) What is Clannasaor's position on socialism/Thatcherism/(insert
"ism" here)?
A) Clannasaor is generally opposed to "isms".
They are a convenient smokescreen for the Establishment parties
- allowing them to present the illusion of democratic choice when
the actual differences between them are very small. Clannasaor is
in favour of Scotland and the Scots. We form our policies on that
basis.
